Ahhh, the moodiness of moods.
They defy description. Impossibly consuming + ephemeral in the same breath; nonsensical when you try to explain them. Words invariably falter.

My view? Moods will simply not be contained within the confines of words. I’m not even sure one would answer to that name if called.

“Here Mood!”.
Crickets.
That’s my point.

Moods are like brushstrokes or wings or impressions, dipped deeply into a tasty well of life’s colors, patterns, textures, shapes, context;
then spread liberally across the canvas of your experience, even if for a moment like a breeze… a vibe… a whisper… a whimsical reverie that leaves you smiling at no one in particular.
For those who care to ponder such things, they may appear metaphoric. Archetypal. Not unlike dreams. They show us things.
Welcome to a few of my favorite moods. From my head ‘n heart to your eyes. Just don’t ask me to explain them.

It Begins With A Mind Splat
Her friend always said: “This is just a mind splat, it’s not fully formed”, when sharing the humble beginnings of an idea that was invariably Genius. She decided it looked something like this.

Time Is Restless Like Weather
Time. Speeding, slowing, wrapping, folding, wrinkling, ending. Restless. Like weather.

L'Automne
Oh, Autumn and your technicolor mysteries, reminding us to embrace the present, savor each moment and to preserve, protect, take comfort, find balance, let God and let go like the leaves do when the Creator nods "Now!". It's all there. A handbook on how to live. Take a breath... and savor it.

Joyeux - sans words
Joy in simple things. Has there ever been a better time to remember that? Let's choose it more often and let not our hearts be troubled.

I Love Coffee
The poem was written on a napkin someone had left behind. It read: “Oh coffee, how I love thee, with thy bold and seductive ways. One sip will never do. Too many and a cacophony of heartpulses that nearly end the world burst forth from within, leaving nerves frayed as yarn that a kitten hath defeated. Yay, it must stop. And be verified upon the morrow.” She smiled. And took her first sip of steaming brew.

March 28, 1910. The day they met. She, with her elegant swirls of color and glamour. He, full of crinkles from the smile that never left his eyes when he was with her. On that day for a moment, time stood still.

The Lovely Oddness of Dreams
Dreams are delightful odd sometimes. There are the nighttime ones, the daytimers, those that come unbidden and thems you hold most dear. Best not to limit the lives contained within each; they are eager to find their own expression... and in turn, bring you closer to your own.

Dream, Plan, Let It Go
A big dream needs freedom and an intimate connection with magical realms. But if you love it as much as it loves you... it will always come back. Sometimes even better.

Freedom is not a metaphor. Freedom IS. Or it is not.

Shades of An Evening Breeze
On the other hand, change as an evening breeze is weightier - and has the potential to keep you awake at night.
